Hello! I'm Robin (Floch) Turner, a children's spiritual formation enthusiast who delights in helping congregations invite children into worship and learning.

I have lead children and family ministries for over a decade in churches around the USA, and I especially love working with church leaders to build sustainable, joyful, intentional ministries that welcome children into worshiping God and knowing God's love. 

 

I believe that children's participation in worship is mutually transformational- the adults and children in any congregation know the love, grace, truth, and power of God more fully when they worship alongside one another. Children are a gift to the whole church, not just to their own family, and the whole church family can be invited to help welcome their worship.

I also love helping churches grow biblical literacy in children by focusing on cultivating curiosity, creating spaces for exploration, and modeling delight in the study of God's Word.

My formal education includes a DMin in Leadership and Spiritual Formation from Portland Seminary and a BA/MA from Wheaton College in Christian Formation and Ministry. I also serve as the Vice-Chair of the Children's Spirituality Summit, a gathering that connects academics, researchers, and practitioners in the world of Christian children's spirituality.

I had the joy of writing and co-editing Children's Ministry and the Spiritual Child (2023) where I explore practical methods for implementing best research in weekly ministry. It includes further thoughts on creating spaces that cultivate biblical literacy.

I have enjoyed speaking and giving workshops on intergenerational worship, biblical literacy, crafting sustainable children's ministries, and Generation Alpha in a variety of contexts including:

I live in the Oak Cliff neighborhood of Dallas, Texas with my husband, Sam, who works in urban Christian classical education and our three young children: Davy, Jack, and Caroline Glad.
